The Sonnenalp is the perfect family holiday destination. True to our philosophy the Sonnenalp team focuses on making families as welcome as possible. Over recent years the children’s areas in the hotel have been extended, expanded and made even more attractive. We now offer a wide and varied programme of activities for four age groups: babies are well looked after by our kindergarden nannies whilst our excellent "Holidays at last" programme for children and teens offers over 60 different activities with a wealth of fun for all. We feel that offering a children’s programme involves far more than just giving mum and dad a breathing space by offering a little babysitting. Alps Ranger – a trip back in time to the world Allgäu farmers
Your friends back home will be amazed at all the stories you tell about your holiday such as the story of your trip back in time. Spending a day as an Alps Ranger will give you an insight into the past and the challenging lives of the Allgäu farming community as they once lived – and even as some still live today.
Getting up and getting out! How to become a superhero!
School is all about sitting still and keeping quiet: holidays are for getting out and about and being active. Water rats will just love the beautiful lakes whilst budding Alpinists will love the climbing wall. With exciting sixcup games, challenging GPS treasure hunts, thrilling canyoning and balancing acts on the slackline there really is something for everyone.
Camps – for sporting fun and games with new found friends
How do you like the idea of the just doing exactly what you want for a whole week? That’s exactly what our holiday camps offer! Whatever your passion, football, golf, being a DJ, dancing hip hop, turning magic tricks or acrobatics, in our holiday camps you can do just that morning, noon and night with experienced teachers on hand to show you some new tricks and turns. When the week comes to an end you will not only have had great fun you will also have learnt a lot.
"Kinderparadies" kids’ club – your holiday is in great hands
Settle in, unpack and then head off for our Sonnenalp "Kinderparadies" kids’ club where you will meet new friends, enjoy exciting ideas and be well looked after by our lovely team whose patience and enthusiasm for fun know no bounds. Fully trained nannies are on hand to look after babies whilst our children can enjoy our ever changing programme of fun and games.
Creative crafts – a world of ideas!
At the end of our creative craft courses you can proudly announce: "I made that all on my own!" Become a fashion designer and paint your own T-shirt or learn to do a make-over in our make-up and styling course. Make dear little cuddly toys in our felting course or learn how to take professional photos. Surprise your parents with your artistically folded serviettes or delicious homemade biscuits. Whatever idea you have floating round in your head, at the Sonnenalp your ideas can become reality!
Trips out and holiday fun – time to jump for joy!
How much fun can you have on holiday? More than enough! All around the Sonnenalp are so many options for day trips that you can visit a new place every day. Camel riders, train drivers, sailors, mini golfers, jokers, intrepid adventurers and animal lovers will all find the perfect day out to suit them. Take a parent or carer with you and show them just how clever, brave, skilful, speedy and how grown up you already are.
